I just hope that no one from the team reads things on here very often. I
don't think that hearing how bad you are, embarrassing, pathetic, would be
better with the old coach, can't win 10 games, etc. helps at all. These
kids realize that they are at a disadvantage. Mick realizes that. I don't
think those of us that positively support them disagree with that. Yet it
does no good at all to bash them day after day.

I know this is a forum for all opinions, and I respect every one's views,
but the constant negative comments do get old. We used to be in
CUSA....easier road for any coach compared to the Big East. Even when we
were a high seed we never were really any one's pick to win it all,
excluding in 2000.

Whether we win 5 games or 29 this year, tearing down Mick and the team
doesn't help.

The voice of reason surfaces. Well said, John. I agree that this team
deserves our support and, more importantly, it needs our support. Without
it, the team may become frustrated and lose interest and/or effort. They
need to stay focused and exert exceptional efforts to overcome the obstacles
the team faces. The least we can do is encourage it and support the team as
best we can.

Sure we could discuss all we want how successful we would be. However,
those chances were there for 15 years and I don't think we won a
national championship yet. Don't take it the wrong way. My point is
that no one knows what would of happened if none of the events took
place. Based on history we would have had a good year but that does not
mean we would have went far into the tournament nor won the Big East.
Yes, we would have had more talent here right now. However, I think
some people are selling Mick short. He and this team had nothing to do
with the previous situation. Instead of demeaning them with the
comments I keep seeing on this forum maybe you should thank them. Thank
Mick for taking the challenge and assembling a team that can at least
compete. Thank those players for coming here knowing that the odds were
stacked against them. This situation could have much much worse. Mick
has shown he can recruit and has landed some here. That is only the
beginning as I believe he will rebuild this program. It bothers me the
lack of respect some of you are displaying. Sometimes it is time to
grow up. I think chronologically most of us had time to do so. If you
want to remain angry then try to project that anger toward the person or
persons that caused it - even though I don't know what good it will do.

The one thing I saw that I have not seen mentioned is the
administration's comment in regard to the commitment to the athletic
program. They will be paying the next coach quite a bit. In the end
Dantonio will be looking for another position in the next 4 - 6 years.
Michigan State is not going to get him or their fans where they want in
probabilities. I wish him well though and won't go further as I know
this should be on the FB forum - I have not joined that yet but will.
