Thanks for the update. Good info. From you and Mike.

The good thing is that if hall and Adam have to miss 10-20 games, we would
at least have them down the stretch. Of course, conversely, it would be
nice to have them in the beginning to gel with the team.

But Oh well, it is what it is. I think they will play hard. The sad thing
is our "depth" is becoming a concern once again. But I will say one thing,
how many times did we play Temple in the 90's where their starting '5'
played almost the whole game. Lynn Greer comes to mind, I think hitting
crazy '3's and their triple teams of Kenyon. I don't remember Jon Chaney
complaining about depth with his zone defense of course, I'm leading up to
using that this year out of necessity at times like last year. (until Adam
and Hall return?)

Anyone else's thoughts.

Ben

since no one responding (and i dont know if anyone listened), it was
actually a pretty amusing listen. the basically summary is that: the ncaa
investigates everyone on any club team you played on, if any of them got
paid (even a dollar), even if it wasn't you, then it's considered a
professional team. at that point they evaluate how many games you played
and it's a 2 for 1 deal, if it's post high school. so if you played 20
"professional" games, you must miss 40 games. it was also stated that once
a decision is made, the majority of schools appeal to try and reduce the
penalty. of course it was also mentioned that the ncaa must do a lot of
legwork to get this done, plus they are very slow.

basically sounds like we should get these guys, but they may miss some games
almost for sure. hopefully that helps for those who didn't listen.

Anyone listen to the podcast Rosecrans referred to yesterday on his blog,
with the UC compliance officer? He certainly hinted strongly enough that
it
had some very interesting material.
