I've seen other sports related sites that start video automatically, but
they have a "turn video off" ability that is retained in the cookie.
I've had some problems using Firefox (and I'm not going back to IE).

[UC Basketball] Bone to pick with official UC athletics website
I really don't like how it automatically loads and plays a video stream
when
I go to the home page, the basketball page and the football page. Even
worse, sometimes when you go to the basketball or football page, it loads
a
"preview page" first that also contains a video.
I wish there was a way to turn off all of the videos. If I want to play
them, let me control it.
