I agree. It's taken me a while to warm up to the new c-paw, but I really
like it now. They did a good job of integrating it into the new apparel.
If you haven't noticed, we have a matching font to go with it that is used
everywhere including on the jerseys. UC branding and design initiative in
the last several years has been very effective at putting together a clean,
unified look everywhere. I am a big fan of good design.
As far as the mascot goes... the jury is still out on that one. I REALLY
liked the old mascot. It's mannerisms were goofy, friendly, and generally
laid back. The new one is much more aggressive, and comes off acting like a
punk. I know UC is going for the aggressive image, but this new jerk of a
mascot might be too much. I don't know. I definitely don't like red
comb-over thing it's got going on. If it were spikier, the red highlights
would look good, but right now, it looks pretty stupid.
