Somebody correct me here but didn't this OSU deal get done because of Gene
Smith and Bob Goin and because Bob Huggins and Thad Matta are friends?
We have neither Goin or Huggins at this point so why would we renew the
game?

I agree it should happen. Unfortunately, I don't believe it will for many
reasons, most of which we will never know.
I do disagree with the decision to play O$U, at least right now. They
refused to play us all those years they were down relative to us. Now that
the roles are reversed somewhat, we should make them wait. Just my opinion.

You wanna make cincinnati basketball really exciting? Put Xavier,

Sounds earily like Ohio State's logic for not want to schedule the Bearcats

The Crosstown is scheduled during UC's winter break, many students won'tan
even be on campus, that's how little value we are placing on this game.
They are setting it up to cancel the shootout. If the Big East moves to
18 game schedule as rumored the shootout is going bye bye. I won't besad
to see it go, we have nothing to gain by playing an A10 team and I'm tiredschool
of X building their program off our backs. Let them play the A10
powerhouses Fordham and George Washinton.

Why should I care about a school that has always been scared to play us

When you play Ohio State on December 16 do you even care about a Xavier
game on December 13? It seems to me that the XU game will take a major
back seat to the Ohio State game.
Is there any word on negotiations to make the Ohio State game and annual
affair?
