Re: Dare to expect BIG THINGS from this team

But that wasn't what you said. And you miss the point - it is more likely
that his group of JUCO's is closer to the 2001 class than the 92 class. To
support this argument - in 92, the JUCO ranks were not recruited as
intensely as they are now.

And I mean no disrespect to our incoming players - I look forward to seeing
what they bring to the floor and how they will develop, but there is a
reason they were still available - the teams ahead of us didn't want them.

Mick has done a tremendous job filling out a roster - I admit, better than I
imagined. Still, I'll wait to see them play. My experience of recruits is
that they rarely make the immediate impact we imagine they will.

I was talking about 92, clown.

I'm not sure there has been a class with all JUCOs - weren't Durden and
Jacobs HS recruits with the NVE class?

The last time we had a heavy JUCO class was 2001 - Taron Barker, Jimmy
Hubbard, and Derreck Holman with Maxiell (Meeker and Lucas were walk ons
with that class.)

I kind of would like to forget that JUCO class. Like this year, those JUCOs
were added late in the recruiting year.

I don't know why you had to remind us of that class and bring us all down.

Ive been around for about 3 years mick, and your "realism" takes the life
out of the bearcats. Again, remember the last time we recruited all
juco's...

Personally, I would rather talk Bearcats basketball with people who are
realistic, not "homers" who think UC is going to win the championship
every year, and if they don't it is due to UC being screwed.

Brad, you haven't been here very long, maybe you should sit back and see
how things work on this forum before you question the loyalty of one of
the guys who got it where it is today.

"It makes no sense to call yourself a fan. . . . "

I would most definitely call Jon Breiner a Bearcat fan.

Jon,

U remind me of the people that i dont enjoy talking about the bearcats
with. Why not just expect 0-30 than you will be super stoked! It

highest
regards. Too many risk managers in todays society...

quite a feat. The schedule might be easier this year than last, but
not by

tempering my enthusiasm, I am letting it build to heights I feel
comfortable
with. If I expect 25-6 and get 15-15, I will be very disappointed. But
since I expected the worst earlier (like immediately after AK's injury
last
year) and have simply been hoping this year's team can be .500, I will
stick
to that. If they achieve more, great, but I do not expect this team to
be
in the NCAA tourney next year. if they are, I would say Mick's
coaching
job
was as good as Andy's last year. Better in some respects, but no one
(likely) will ever have more difficult extenuating circumstances than
Andy
had, so his success was truly remarkable.
