Don,

I believe your assessment of Mike Thomas and your opinion of how well Coach
Cronin will do at UC are a bit off base to say the least.  Only time will
tell of course.  Personally, I think Coach Cronin will have UC competitive
in the Big East this season.  His team will win some games that no one
thought his team would win.  His team will also likely lose a few that
everyone thought his team would win.  With almost an entire cast of
newcomers, there will be some growing pains.  At the end of the season, I
think finishing in the top half of the Big East, making the Big East tourney
and getting serious consideration for an NCAA tourney at-large bid will mark
Coach Cronin's 1st season as being successful.  I think year 2 under Coach
Cronin will see a return the the NCAA tournament.

Coach Cronin has done a very admirable job of filling the roster with some
talented players.  Now the job becomes turning these players into a cohesive
unit that plays well together.
