I think Mike pretty much explained this. (IE They moved the date, it's not
during recruiting season, huggs was on "the trail, and the game at that time
wouldn't have been "big enough" to bother Coach Huggins(Although I bet he
would have done it).

As a former Board member helping to organize the "2nd" annual event, I know
that in it's infancy it was impossible to coordinate this kind of GREAT
participation. I find it disgusting that someone would use this great event
to try and bash someone. It really explains the state of mind of some. If
you would donate some time to this great event you would better understand.

Again Congrats Mike, Sherwin and Alex for a great coup in making this happen
this way, I know it will REALLY Help attendance. It's very exciting news.
Anyone that can make it will really enjoy seeing these guys play, and by the
way, don't expect a Harlem Globetrotters vs The Washington Generals,
scripted little demonstration, these guys are ALL still VERY competitive,
did I say VERY, I really meant EXTREMELY competitive, it's a great deal of
fun!

Not to mention, HECK Yeah if I were Huggins I would want to come back to
cincy for numerous reasons, even one that meant he was working toward
recruiting local players, it's funny how people bash him but their afraid he
might be good enough to take a player OJ from them. If he doesn't matter to
you, then it shouldn't matter to you if he's here or not.

Thank goodness there are people like Bob Huggins to help organizations like
Shining Star Sports, I am certain he is not doing it for the $$$, I've seen
the budgets those guys worked with, even donated some of my own $$$ in
addition to time, they are doing good things. I'm certain Alex Meacham
will really appreciate your feelings on this.

Subject: Re: [UC Basketball] Bob returns

Dave, you are right on point. This is the 5th year of the game and Bob has
not been involved in the previous 4. Why would he not be spending the time
recruiting/or working in his job for Kansas State? Maybe he could be showing
his support for Tyree Evans at his trial or helping O J with his summer
school classes. Or maybe he and Richard Katz could work out the details of
his contract and he could sign his contract and actually become the Kansas
State coach.

<<<<<Only one thing. In the history of this game, when Bob was in town, how
many times did he coach one of the teams? I don't recall him ever being
involved..>>>>>>>.
