To the Bearcat forum gurus.

I am confused. I have set up my bearcatnews.com basketball forum
preferences
to not e-mail me. When I wish to read posts, I go to the bearcatnews.com
website and browse the basketball forum messages as I see fit. I do not
get
e-mailed every time someone posts.

For the general forum, I cannot find a way to browse the forum from the
bearcatnews.com website. The only way I can read posts to the general
forum
is by receiving them via e-mail.

Am I right with how this works? Or am I missing something?

If I am right, why are the basketball forum moderators so adamant about
posting "non-current" basketball topics (ie, Huggins and/or Kennedy
related
items) in the general forum only? The main reason I have read given is
that
the posting gets e-mailed to everyone and not everyone wants to read about
"non-current" basketball topics. If said basketball forum members are
upset
with receiving e-mails about "non-current" basketball items, can't they
just
set up their forum preference to not e-mail them when a post is made? They
can then read the forum messages that they are interested in from the
bearcatnews.com website like I do.

Also, is there a way for me to read the general forum postings from
bearcatnews.com and disable the e-mail?

Thanks,
