I'm sure someone will cite me with negativity. But the first thing that
caught my eye was his stint at Minnesota (94-97). I was hoping that he was
not on staff during the period when Minnesota was guilty of NCAA violations.
Unfortunate, his tenure conicides with this period.

He was an assistant on a staff that was cited for multiple NCAA violations
that occurred from 94-98. From the NCAA Press Release:

"The Committee on Infractions, in its public report, said the violations it
found were among the most serious to come before it in 20 years. "The
violations were significant, widespread and intentional. More than that,
their nature - academic fraud - undermined the bedrock foundation of a
university and the operation of its intercollegiate athletics program," the
report states."

I guess it is possible that the head coach and the secretary and the players
were making all of these arrangements without the assistant coaches knowing
anything about it, but there is common sense. And perception.

Go Cats!
