The President never has had a ban on junior college athletes or junior college students more generally. Indeed, one of her accomplishments at Wisconsin-Milwaukee was to make it the state's premier transfer destination. That focus continues at UC, with expanded relationships - particularly with Cincinnati State and Sinclair - and the creation of transfer scholarships.

JUCO's have been recruited in football and other sports since she came here, so it would be a surprise for her to institute a ban that applies only to men's basketball.

There are good reasons to criticize President Zimpher for her handling of the Huggins affair, but a ban on recruiting JUCO's is a myth created by people who wanted to attack her for other reasons.

Shortly after our beloved president was hired, it was mentioned that
JUCO players would be fewer and far between on campus. Yet, both recruits
by Cronin so far have been JUCO's. Does anyone think Nancy has changed her
stance, and has seen the light in that it is necessary to have JUCO's in
order to be competitive?
