If UC's Big East opponents remain the same, here's what I have for next
year's schedule:

Big East Home Games:
Connecticut
Georgetown
Louisville
Marquette
Pittsburgh
Seton Hall
Syracuse
West Virginia

Big East Road Games:
DePaul
Louisville
Providence
Rutgers
South Florida
Syracuse
Villanova
West Virginia

Other Home Games:
Miami (OH) @ USBank Arena
UAB
Xavier
(4 others)
Northern Kentucky (exh.)
(1 other exh.)

Other Road (and Neutral Court) Games:
Illinois State
Memphis
Ohio @ Gund Arena in Cleveland
Ohio State @ Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis [Sat Nov 25]
(exempt tournament)

There is also a rumored game with Tennessee (I don't know where). The
above assumes the NCAA approves a proposal to expand the regular season
to 28 games and allow schools to participate in an exempt tournament
every year.

you are correct:

"In addition to the three mirror opponents, which will remain in place
for
at least two seasons"

from

So someone can probably add a few more games to this, but for now I
have:

Bearcats' home schedule: Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall,
Georgetown,
Marquette, Syracuse, Louisville, West Virginia, Xavier

UC road schedule: Villanova, Providence, Rutgers, DePaul, Syracuse,
Louisville, West Virginia, South Florida, Memphis.

.500 in conference would be remarkable, but I think .500 overall will be

hard enough. There are 8 other games to schedule (assuming no tourneys)
and
at least 6 or 7 will need to be directional schools and right now they
are
no longer walkovers. Remember Huggins early on with Coastal Carolina
and
American, etc. Some bad losses and bad wins (well, ok, no win is a bad
win).

I believe the conference schedule is still set for next year. We'll
keep
the mirror teams for sure. I believe the skipped schools stay skipped
for
next year. So I think we'll have the same schedule, but reverse the
home/away for single opponents - so we get UConn / Marq / Pitt at home
next
year.

Correct?

You know you really do raise an interesting point about the BEast
schedule.
Without Huggins, and without any serious star power, I wonder if ESPN
will
care about us next year - and if not, maybe we get a USF or Seton Hall

type
conference schedule. Combined with some very careful ooc scheduling
we
just
might be able to pull off something approaching a .500% result. But
we
still need to add a center/power forward (or Randy's "inside" player)
to
go
with McGowan and the new kid, especially, if as posted here, Herrara
is as
raw as indicated (even assuming he stays).

I was thinking the same thing with regards to replacing Hicks and
White.
Our
best shot would be to see Cedric to step up his game to come close to
what
Hicks was able to do and then hope that Williamson (+Herrera) can
replace
Ced's production. It seems a lot to ask Ced but he impressed me with
his
offense and did have some pretty big rebounding games. We can forget
about
the blocked shots though.

As for White, I can't see us finding someone to take his place as
easily.
He
was so important in so many ways. I can see someone picking up his
scoring
ability, but who could offer what did on defense by guarding a taller
permiter player? Or being able to handle the ball as well as he did
from
the
3 spot?

Assuming we keep guys like McGowan and Herrera and are able to add a
few
more guys capable of contributing. I can see 15-18 wins (mostly from
the
OOC
schedule). Maybe ESPN will do us a favor and give us a Seton Hall type
of
Big East schedule next year allowing us a better shot at a few more
wins..

By the way, when matching up this year's team with a potential team
for
next
year, they can come out approximately even when we sign 2 kids who
will
replace Hicks and White and be just as effective next season (right
now
I
still have problems seeing double digit wins). I'm not sure there
are 2
such people out there. Maybe Oklahoma, and all the other schools
that
have
changed coaches, will release all the kids they signed and we can
grab a
couple.
