I agree with this. I think if he leaves UC will be in BIG trouble the
next 2 years. I really hope he decides to stay at UC.

I look for McGowen and Herara to leave also. I know everyone thinks it
would
be a huge mistake for McGowen to leave with only one year of eligibility
left but I think I would leave rather than play on a 7 win team. I say 7
wins cause I think if Downey leaves we go from 10 wins down to 7.

Downey leaving adds another year to the rebuilding process. A top level
point guard atracts big men and spot up shooters to a program. Also a
good
point guard takes a lot of the pressure off a coach to make all the
decisions.
