Furman head coach to join Cronin?

"*We also will be interested to see if **Darren Savino**, who has been an
assistant coach at Murray State for the last two years, will become the next
head coach of the Racers or whether he will join ** Chris Goggin** and
**Matt Grady
**, who were Cronin's other two assistant coaches at Murray State, on
Cronin's staff at Cincinnati.

The word we get is that Savino had a great interview earlier this week and,
as a result, now must be considered a serious candidate for the job Murray
State job.  And this should come as no surprise, because Savino not only
helped recruit most of the current players, but he's got a great resume',
which includes working for **Fran Fraschilla ** at St. John's and New
Mexico, **Joe Dooley** at East Carolina, and **Joe DeSantis** at Quinnipiac
and playing for **Bob Hurley Sr** at Jersey City (St. Anthony's) NJ.

However, if Savino doesn't get the Murray State job and comes to Cincinnati
with Cronin, either Goggin or Grady will have to take an administrative
position, because Cronin also plans to hire Furman head coach ** Larry Davis
** as his associate head coach. "
