Over the last couple of weeks, Downey was careful not to commit one way or the other. If he thinks it will take several years for UC to rebound, then he probably won't mind sitting out 1 year. Idea being that 2 years at a top program beats 3 at a mediocre one. Like the rest of you, I certainly hope this is false, or if true that Mick can change his mind somehow.
