AK Recruiting

I know that we all have questions whether he will be able to recruit and I had some thoughts on that.  Thad Matta, OSU hires him and all of a sudden he has the best recruiting class in the nation next year.  He hardly recruited at his previous jobs, he inherited other coaches teams at X and Butler.  He is not a brand name and hasn't really won in the NCAA, so why do kids choose him for their coach.  Also with that Calipari is almost the same.  He hasn't won the NCAA tournament, not even a conference USA tournament and he gets top talent, why do those top freshman want to go and have Cal as their coach?  While I think it does help to have a brand name that recruits will recognize I do think that it is possible to recruit at a top program with a new coach.  Like AK has said before, "If you don't think that I can recruit look at my wife."  I think that he has already proved some people wrong with his coaching ability, now it is time to prove people wrong about his recruiting if he gets
 the opportunity to do so.
