RE: That one could hurt

It was most obvious on defense. Copeland tied his career high of 28 by
getting 21 in the second half, and UC made it easy for him. Someone on
the ncaabbs board said he was playing HORSE, which pretty much sums it
up.

Really, this fiasco is mostly on Downey. It may not be fair, but it's
true. Jihad was solid, McGowan and White were up-and-down, Hicks was
not his best and the bench didn't help much, but Downey was bloody
awful. So much so that I wonder if something outside basketball was
bothering him (I have no idea what it could be).

Buford called it on Fox 19 too, he mentioned right as the second half
started he didn't like their body language and they didn't look ready to
play. AK might have just coached his way right out of this job.

Plus, will Hicks be able to go on Saturday for WVU?

Ugly...ugly game. Watched on UCVision and the bluriness seemed
to make them look better. Listened on the radio entering the 2nd half
and Chuck hit in on the head when he said the missed chances when they
were up 39-32 would come back to bite them. They looked lethargic and
unintersted as SHU got to the loose balls and had a number of
uncontested dunks. Jihad seemed to be the only one not wearing cement
sneakers. I love Chad's effort but he is such an offensive liability
when they need to score.

My opinion is AK didn't have them ready to play. They
should have beat SH by at least 10. They just went thru the motions all
night. Never did get fired up or play hard as a team. I just can't
believe I seen them play so bad and so out of it in an important game as
this was. They got nobody to blame but themselves. I am really
disappointed in them. Don
