I like being vague, allows me to back out of things. Perhaps I'll go into politics if they cut my pay.
My opinion is that the ADept would have to cut their budget. They can only spend what the have, not what the wish they had.

Between your guessing and your I don't knows I didn't learn a whole lot. I will ask your opinion on a hypo though. Say the athletic budget is 24 million and they spend the 24 million on expenses. Due to unforeseen happenings the projected 24 million in income from sport teams is only 14 million. Just exactly where does the extra 10 million come from to pay the expenses? General fund? I'd cut the faculty's pay if it was me. Don
