Totally agree again!!!!!......................the season is not over but I do not think UC is going to make a run at the NCAA title.........even though AK will not be here next year I think I would like to see players that we will be calling on next year to get some experience.

Subject: Re: [UC Basketball] Re: Tilford vs. Moore
All I am saying is that lately, we have desperately needed outside shooting. McGowan stepped up tonight, and Jihad actually made some 3's. What if McGowan only gets 8 points like usual, and Jihad goes 1-10 like usual...where does the outside scoring come from.
Teams pack it down on Hicks, which also hinders Downey's ability to drive the lane...it's too crowded. Our offensive becomes streetball and jacking 3's. The other teams are leaving us WIDE OPEN at the 3 point line. ANd we have struggled against teams recently with scoring (other than South Florida...because of reasons stated above). So why not put someone in who can shoot.
When Downey is in the game, Chadd is not playing PG, he's playing SG or SF (one that has to shoot 3's). And he simply is horrendous on the offensive end. It may be his back, but the fact still remains. He never really had a shot anyways. His game is driving and lofting those layups high off the glass.
And yes, Chadd got 6 assists last night (which he obviously does not average). He only averages 1.7 assists per game. That is less than 1 more than Tilford.
Hence, I think "when" we need some offense and some outside shots to fall...Tilford is a better answer than Moore. I realize Chadd may defend better, but I am talking about situations where we need scoring from outside shooting...which happens a lot.
