RE: Bearcats now 15 - 0 when shooting over 40%

I find it interesting that when we shoot less than 40% - it is because we
are in a shoot slump (today's Enquirer) - when we hold other teams to less
than 40% shoot - it is our tenancious defense.

It makes you wonder, especially since our shooting slump seems to occur
against good teams, if its more the other teams defense than our shooting .
. .

Downey is wondering why is in a funk - could it be that against the talent
at UConn and other top tier BE teams, that the players are quicker and
stronger and player better team defense? Instead of being able to knife
through the lane like he could against Dayton, all of a sudden the lane gets
cut off and there a people in passing lanes. I'm not sure it is a funk, but
rather a rude awakening to what it like to play against quality opponents.

Lest, you think ithis is a negative post, I think Downey will be able to
play at this level, it just won't be as easy as it was during the
non-conference schedule. And, he'll need a good supporting cast.

Knock the snot out of the Mountaineers!

Thanks for the stat predictio Keith. I was monitoring our shooting
percentage and potential final scoring to see if we'd make it the whole
game. All those dunks at the end certainly helped push UC over the 40%
mark. Nice observations!

Both of my keys for tonight's game were dead on.
