Is it just me, or did you notice they were much more effective at a
half-court trap than a full-court or 3/4-court press. I'd almost say their
best press was like a 5/8ths-court trap when the forced the 10-second
violation. The one scary thing to take away from the pressing was the lack
of intercepted passes. USF threw a TON of wild passes as a result of the
pressure, but UC failed to intercept many and only got a couple of tips.
This is where long guys like Kirkland and White were missed. The good news
is White is still available to come in and make those picks; so we don't
have to dwell on a player loss anymore!

UC is now 4 - 4 in the Big East which is not fantastic BUT one thing to
keep in mind is this.
UC is now 2 full games clear of the dreaded 13th place. The upcoming
schedule is a bear but hopefully, Kennedy's return to a more attacking style
of basketball will allow UC to steal a win or two down the stretch (AK
readily admitted that he became too tentative as a coach when Kirkland went
down. The pressing style in the 2nd half time signified a return to a more
attacking style of basketball).
