RE: Marquette Upsets UConn

I watched the whole game. Novak is going to be hard to defend. He is big, but has a really good outside game and if that is being defended well he can post up inside. Not sure who will guard him. Hicks can't handle Novak's perimeter game, maybe White can handle him. UConn had that problem, they put their big men on him and he just stepped outside and put up 3's. UConn could have made it a whole lot closer if they could have shot freethrows. They were right around or right under 50%. We have to keep Novak off the line too. He hasn't missed a freethrow since January of last year.

I watched from about 5:00 remaining in the first half. Novak was unconscious. I think he finished with 41 and 16. He looks like a different player. Marquette's freshman PG, while he didn't shoot it well was impressive. They also have a new wing/SG who gave UConn fits off the bounce.

Marquette looked ready to play and UConn did not. UConn just looked uninspired, and they could never make a run. Could be a long day on Saturday for the Bearcats. Here's hoping for a Marquette letdown...

Not a final yet but it's about to be. 89-68 with 2:21 left. Welcome to the Bradley Center Uconn.
