1st Half Thoughts

1. Downey is a beast and will only get better. This is his team already. He
has the killer instict, doesn't back down. If there is 5 seconds left and we
are down by 1 I want the ball in his hands.

2. It's been said millions of times but I have to say it again. Kirkland
drives me nuts. One play he does something really good, like the tip in
following Downey's drive. The next he almost loses a lose ball by not
hustling (Ohio knocked it out of bounds) or doesn't follow his shot when he
could have easily had the rebound.

3. Tilford wants to be Downey but doesn't have the same level of talent.

4. This offense should revolve around Downey and White penetrating and
everyone else crash the boards for those times that the ball rolls out.
Hicks is not a valid offensive threat unless the double team comes to help
on penetration.
