Impressive credentials. Jose Juan Barea is a great player. However, I don't think Ron Everhart is a good choice for us.

- Spent 6 years as the lead recruiter at a competitive school in a major conference, bringing in 3 straight conference freshmen of the year.
- Then spent 7 years as the head coach at a low major school, winning multiple conference championships, producing a conference player of the year, sending another player to the NBA and earning an NIT bid his final year.
- Then spent the past 4 years at a low-to-mid major school, again producing conference award-winning players and the school's first ever NIT bid while winning road games against Big East teams.
Some quotes from this coach about his current program:
"It?s our intention to be in postseason play every year."
"I want to make sure that when we walk off the floor, win or lose, our opponents respect us. No matter what, I want people to say, ?Man, those guys really play hard.'"
"The first thing I look for is a good kid and a good teammate. Then I look for versatility in my players, so that each player becomes an interchangeable part in our dynamic system of play."
That system stresses an up-tempo, attacking style of basketball. "We want to create chaos. On offense, we play with what we call ?intelligent aggressiveness.? We?re not just going to run and pitch up shots. We?re going to be intelligent while being as aggressive as possible."
"We represent an institution of higher learning, and I expect our players to represent themselves accordingly."
This coach currently has a senior point guard averaging 24 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals per game. He also has a sophomore forward averaging 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks per game while shooting 63% from the floor and 78% from the foul line. His team is 6-1 with the loss coming by 7 points on the road at a Pac-10 school.
Finally, this coach is loosely connected to Huggins and more strongly connected to one of Huggins' assistants.
You don't have to search for him, I'll tell you who he is shortly. The question for now is, would he be a worthy candidate?
