I can hardly keep up with the Bearcat discussion without having to throw
the Reds into this too.

FWIW, Tony LaRussa has been quoted as saying Williams is the best (or
best young, not sure which) lefthanded pitcher in the NL.

I agree. Also if anyone thinks a team will give up a #1 or #2 pitcher
for Dunn knows nothing about the current situation in baseball. I
figured they would get a couple minor leaguers for Casey, which is
probably what this
Williams guy will endup being.

Out of curiosity, what did people expect the Reds to get for anbecause
overpaid, slow, barely above average hitter with below average power
who hits into way too many double plays? I'm just happy that this will
get Junior over to 1b (or Dunn, I'd prefer Junior), and will get rid
of that stupid rotation that was taking ABs away from Dunn the last
few years. This also free's up $6M for this year, and $8.5M for next
year. With any luck the new ownership will put some money into the
pitching now.
But I digress, we are WAY off topic here.

For all Lance's whining about how disgruntled UC fans are hurting the
bball
team...I wonder how he'll react to Casey being traded???
