The thing that gets me about it is the lack of a quote over the recent graduation stats, and the disregard for Huggins having ALREADY accomplished in this area that which Zimpher is trying to get the university as a whole to improve upon.  Zimpher will win every Presidential award in the history of Higher Ed, hell they'll even name 3 after her, if she increases grad rates to what Huggins has, and maintains it for a 5 year period.  She won't even be able to get 75% for one year.  Impossible at such a large commuter school with open admissions.  Unless the numbers are fudged with a bit, but now we have precedent for only counting as follows: (Total # of grads-transfers)/Total # of entering freshman.  To even get close to 70% with that number would be fantastic.  It currently hovers around 50%.

  I love that line.  I was out of state at school for 4 years and came across my share of huggs/UC haters.  I blame ignorant sports writers/media for the perception, since it isn't true at all.  I was at the UC football game at PSU this fall and spent a majority of my time spitting out stats to prove stupid people wrong about it all.  But one thing remained the same with every person there---He was treated horribly and Zimpher is an idiot!!!
