The only time I've ever known football to make a profit was 2002
(Minter's 2nd to last year) and that was thanks to the Ohio State game
down at PBS.

I believe that football might be the only other one that did. I know it was
a couple of years ago, maybe minter's last season, where they had gotten out
of the red on the books.

I would love to see a financial breakdown on each of the sports in the
athletic department. Have any of them, other than basketball, turned
a profit. My guess is.. not even close !

Some people just don't realize how much money Huggins
generated with a winning basketball program. Huggins meant
millions to the athletic program. They bragged on Goin in today's
paper about how he raised the athletic budget from 14 million to
25 million and he really had little to do with it. If it wasn't
for Huggins and the money the basketball team brought in it
wouldn't have happened. If Goin accomplished anything, it all came
about by riding on Huggins back all the time he was here. The new
AD doesn't have Huggins to ride on and with the money going south
it's going to be a different story. He's got so many holes in the
dike ! to plug I
