I think my 25 years of donations has given many, an opportunity to get an education but I've been held hostage by the dramatic increases. Even when Zimpher is gone I don't think I'll go back to giving because the price has risen so much. Good luck to Mike Thomas on finding replacement donors for me and many others who had great loyalty to UC and are ticked off.

Interesting view of UCATS donations, that is from an entertainment aspect. I just never thought of it that way.

I view UCATS as an opportunity to "give back". To provide someone with an opportunity that may be they would not have had without athletics. A chance for someone who may never play professionally the opportunity for a solid education. An education that will provide a better life and career opportunities.

I am not being critical of anyone who viewed UCATS as a source to purchase better seats at either basketball or football games. I have attended all the home football games for the last five years but have not been able to do the same for basketball. So my purchases end up providing support. It does not matter to me who is the Coach or who is the President as it relates to support. I am giving back because of what the University provided to me.

With support we will be competitive in the BE.

I just finished watching the zimpher interview and I'm sure glad i
terminated my UCATS. And to all of you who say thats not fair to the
athletes. I say after giving to ucats for 25 years and seeing my donation
amount increase from $750 to $2500 in the last 6 years, I can spend my
entertainment dollars anyway I want. I've given with the hopes of
improvement through the 80's and received great pleasure for the last 16
years but I'm not willing to pay the price for the next 5+ years or possibly
never to get that same feeling back. I've done my part and by taking away my
support maybe change (Zimpher Gone) will happen. I'll watch on tv but my
passion for uc is gone. If I do go to a game last row is fine with me.
