The mechanics of his shot looked good. 2 of the 3 were wide open shots. He
had his body set well and really stroked the shot - nice rotation on the
ball.

I think what will hold Allen back is that he seems to be a step slow on
defense. It might be he is new to the UC system so the rotations do not
come automatically. Or it could be he is slow. time will tell.

John, after he went out, the crowd of course cheered for him. I was not
really sure if I should join in loudly or not at all because I do not yet
know if I want to encourage that or discourage that! I don't know enough
about him to know whether or not he might miss the next 20. :)

Illinois State is not a good team; the fact that we're letting them hang
around is worrying. Lots of defensive breakdowns, but after an ugly start
at least the energy has picked up. Kirkland and Muhammad did not seem
ready to play. Not sure what to make of Allen's three-point shooting...
