RE: 1st half

The 2nd half UC has turned up the defense. I'm much happier with the
effort from everyone on the floor tonight.

As far as the offense goes, Downey seems to get them into their offense
much better. During the stretch in the 2nd half that UC couldn't put any
points on the board they had Downey on the bench. As soon as he came in
(after Kirkland's FT's) UC hit a 3, he hit a layup, and they hit another
2 to open up the lead. When Moore comes back I'm guessing he will take
away time from Tilford and Jihad, as Downey looks to be the best PG they
have now, and this is only his 2nd game.

Illinois State is not a good team; the fact that we're letting them hang

around is worrying. Lots of defensive breakdowns, but after an ugly
start 
at least the energy has picked up. Kirkland and Muhammad did not seem 
ready to play. Not sure what to make of Allen's three-point shooting...
