Today's Post article by C. Trent Rosecrans about last night's game
begins this way:

"The old highlights were still shown on the new video boards before the
University of Cincinnati Bearcats were introduced at Thursday night's
first exhibition game. There was Melvin Levett's dunk to beat No. 1
Duke in 1998, Kenyon Martin's shot to top DePaul in 2000, Nick Van
Exel's half-court shot against UAB and Danny Fortson's buzzer-beater
against Tulane. They were all there."

Although Kenyon dominated the DePaul game down the stretch, the winning
shot came from DerMarr Johnson.

VanExel's smooth long-distance jumper in the highlight package was at
the end of the first half of the Crosstown Shootout against Xavier in
1993.

So, the beat writer went 2 for 4. Should he be expected to do better?
