I'd have to say that it's actually not "an example of breaking something that worked" as far as the actual scoreboard being broke...its more a problem with handing over all the controls to ISP and not keeping things in-house. My understanding is ISP are the ones that paid big money for it. The 2 in the corners of the arena are actually the old scoreboards, from what I was told.
What is up with the new scoreboard? If I wanted to watch the game on TV, I'd stay at home. Now I have to look at two different boards on the sides of the arena to see all the information relevant to action on the floor. The north/south ends have the individual fouls/scoring by player as well as the clock and score. However, if you want to see timeouts left and/or the team foul situation, you have to look to the east/west sides.
Does this seem utterly ridiculous to anyone else? The new TV's (not scoreboard) are nice, but not very functional.
Not sure how much this cost, but it's a perfect example of breaking something that worked.
