Actually I checked the attendance on the bearcat website once I was back from the game. It is at the bottom of the box-score on the bearcat website. It says 6163.
that is an exaggeration for sure. i was out at half, so make it 6162 as Jon suggested. Smarty Zimphy mustve had one of her cronies walk circles through the turnstiles with counters to show good numbers.
I was in the student section and it had a decent attendance. It never is packed unless it is one of the big games like wake forest, xavier , marquette or louisville.
But today's student contingent had quite a few freshmen (im guessing) because of their excitment and how conscious they were about what they spoke. they really didnt know the UC players names, so thats a fair indication.
yes i agree. the sideboards by the court get lit every so often and its annoying. the hidden scoreboard is a pain too.
btw, do anyone of you sit in teh students section during the games? just curious...

So how many folks showed up for tonight’s game?
Baltimore Bearcat
DAAP 99
5, but Madhu left at the half.
Seriously, I don’t think more than 5,000 more than that. Likely not more
than 4000 that amount. The lower sections were sporadically populated and
the upper levels were 80% empty. I should have counted them, but I did not
think about it until just now.
I commented during the game that I had never been at a UC game with such low
attendance. I am sure the paid will be a bit higher, but there was no one
there.
Alex Meecham was there. It was obvious that he heard about the NBA dress
code.
Jon
