Blount >not< retained by Lakers

Some updated news on my previous Corie Blount story -
From the LA Times this morning -
The Laker roster became crystallized Monday, with an old-timer on the way
out and an undrafted rookie surviving the final cut. Eleven-year veteran
Corie Blount was waived by the Lakers, meaning Devin Green beat tough odds
to make the team after going undrafted out of Hampton.
Blount, for his part, did not play in any of the Lakers' eight exhibition
games. Because of a shortage of experienced Laker post players, Jackson had
hoped to assess Blount's abilities, but knee and foot injuries prevented
Blount from playing.

The Assoc Press reported tonight that Tony Bobbitt was waived by the

In my Thurs morning reading, I saw a few LA based articles saying the
Lakers were going to waive two players to get down to their limit.
Corie Blount and Bobbitt were said to be in the "bottom four".
So I'm assuming Corie Blount is again a pro ball player. But the article
did not mention him directly.
