There is a great article posted on the bearcatnews website that is a great read. I guess we will see the real Kenyon this year. Huggs will prolly also follow the team with two possible three former players on the roster. The 2000 draft might have been weak but we had 2 of the top 6 picks, and they are both on Denver.

He still has a LONG time left in his career and Denver is starting to make moves to put themselves into the NBA finals in the near future. How about giving the guy some time to have a career FIRST before you label him as a bust.
Tell me this, if Twyman had been a role-player in the League do you think his number still should have been retired? Colleges retiring numbers base that retirement on what the player does at that school, not in the NBA. If this would have been a player under any other coach then Huggins you would not have this big of a problem with it, that's become painfully obvious over the past few months.

did you read all of my reply. Martin was #1 I don't deny and a great tool, but a disappointment as a pro.

So basically you're contradicting yourself. Being player of the year and the first overall pick in the draft is bringing glory to your school. There is no better recruiting tool out there then a coach being able to tell a recruit "Look what we did for Kenyon Martin. He was not a top10 recruit coming out and we were able to mold him into a player of the year and #1 pick". Most kids join a high-major program like UC for one reason, to make it to the NBA, 99% of them could really care less about a degree if they're going to be a lottery pick when they leave school.

I can see honoring him for his college contributions actually, but
if he keeps bad mouthing the school, let him take his jersey and sell it on e-bay, since that is what he seems to be about.I also don't like D. Johnson's bad mouthing UC. I hold nothing
agaisnt him for 1 and done, since many go to college to have a career. Good for him, he became wealthy. I just think he should respect the school.

So what you're saying is that a college players career should be judged on what he did in the NBA?

I mean you would expect the first overall to have made more than one all-star team, been the MVP of his own team once and to win a championship. KMart will never make the HOF. Fortson puts up better rpg stats.Kmart is a decent player, but you would expect more out of anoverall 1 besides his numerous tantrums ( Van Horn, R. jefferson and then Huggins). No wonder JKidd didn't save him in Jersey.Martin take your jersey and go home if UC means so little to you.I think maybe the jersey on the wall should be for Hall of famers anyways.
