So basically you're contradicting yourself. Being player of the year and the
first overall pick in the draft is bringing glory to your school. There is
no better recruiting tool out there then a coach being able to tell a
recruit "Look what we did for Kenyon Martin. He was not a top10 recruit
coming out and we were able to mold him into a player of the year and #1
pick". Most kids join a high-major program like UC for one reason, to make
it to the NBA, 99% of them could really care less about a degree if they're
going to be a lottery pick when they leave school.
