Martin, meanwhile, is exercising no caution when discussing the University
of Cincinnati's decision in August to force out coach Bob Huggins.

Martin, who starred for Huggins and the Bearcats from 1996-97 to 1999-2000,
said during a roast for Huggins last week he wants his No. 4 Bearcats jersey
unretired and his awards removed from display on campus.

Martin said Monday he will have his representatives make an official request
to the school. He said he has "no reason to go back to" the school and
playing in any future preseason games there "ain't going to happen."

Martin's stance could affect a Nuggets preseason game promoter Tim Johnson
said is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 18, 2006, at the University of
Cincinnati, although no contract has been signed.

Nuggets assistant general manager David Fredman, who handles preseason
scheduling, said nothing is "set in stone" and the team would consult Martin
before playing in Cincinnati. "Everybody that's played at Cincinnati (under
Huggins) . . . has a bad feeling about the school now," said Nuggets guard
DerMarr Johnson, who played for Cincinnati in 1999-2000 and said he also
wishes to disassociate himself from the school.

As for Martin's game, nobody knows it better than Johnson. The two are close
friends. "He feels he can give us more than he did, especially a guy who
came in and was paid so much money," Johnson said. "He's not content with
that. He wants to give you what you give him."
