Re: mood on campus?

This whole thing reminds me of when my company did a reduction in force 
(RIF)/layoff.  HR said the reaction always goes like this...

Anger/outrage to the action.
Questions about why the action was carried out.
Acceptance.

Eventually most people move on.  Some people decide to stay disenfranchised.
