From: Keith Wedinger

Date: 02 Oct 2005 - 12:23 PM EST
UCVision will be returning for a second year of webcasting University of
Cincinnati athletic events. There are some changes from the program last
year. First, only WXIX productions will be blacked out in the FOX19 viewing
area; this means that UCit productions of Olympic Sports will be available
for viewing in the greater Cincinnati area. Second, there will be no season
pass all events will be a la carte, at $6 per game. Additionally, the
ability to pre-pay for games will be limited to the week before the game
(such games will not appear on the schedule until one week prior to the
game). Archives of games will be available, at no charge, approximately 24
hours after the event. As last year, games can be ordered at the UC Vision
web site, http://www.uc.edu/ucvision .
The season will kick off with the nationally-ranked men's soccer team taking
on Big East foe Villanova on Saturday, October 22, at 3:00 pm. This will be
followed by the women's soccer last home game of the season, on Sunday, Oct.
23, 1:00 pm, against Seton Hall. The men's home soccer finale will be
webcast on Wednesday, October 26, 7:00 pm, against De Paul. If the men's
soccer team hosts a Big East tournament game, that will also be webcast.
Following the soccer season, a home volleyball game will be webcast,
followed by the WXIX productions of men's and women's basketball. At this
time we anticipate two women's games, and 10-14 men's games will be
available. The schedule will be finalized once WXIX announces its television
plans.
Also new this year is the availability of sponsorships. For $250 a person,
company, or group can sponsor a webcast of their favorite team or event.
