Couldn't agree more.   One needs to look no further than the  chairman's 
stated goals for ideal candidates: "a good communicator, has a  commitment to 
gender equity and diversity, and has a record of integrity and  compliance with 
NCAA regulations.  The new AD also must support president  Nancy Zimpher's UC/21 
academic plan."
 
My god almighty.   If you believe that the athletic department's  #1 priority 
and biggest need for leadership right now is for someone to correct  the 
terrible state of affairs in Bearcat athletics related to gender equity and  
diversity.....then take heart!!   Not one mention of this person's  ability to 
attract and empower the best coaches in the country, not one mention  of fielding 
national champion level quality teams, not one mention of having the  
business/marketing/financial skill to lead revenue, fundraising and attendance  growth 
efforts.
 
These sort of "bloated" 16 person committee searches result in attracting  
career bureaucrats.....like Gerald O'Dell.   Under Z...we are now  stuck in some 
sort of quasi fascist state of political correctness.    The only people who 
can can continue to take this sort of stuff have to be so  drunk on Z's 
coolaid it's not even funny.  She must go.    A  committee like this would have 
NEVER hired a Bob Goin..........a man who  accomplished more as AD than anyone in 
the history of the school.  Heaven  help us all.
