Not implying that you suggest otherwise, but Yates was really a good guy...perhaps not a great coach...I didn't play for him so I don't know.  He was roasted by the media including the play by play announcer of the day (remember Tim Moreland anyone?), basically because he didn't kiss their rear ends.  He actually had the program on an upswing when he was given the axe.  I don't believe he's affiliated with Wyler in any way anymore.

    Doesn't really make much difference who Zimpher hires as the next coach. You can't win without players no matter how great you are. With the restrictions on who and what type players he can recruit his goal will be just to get to the middle of the pack in the Big East in 2 or 3 years. Going to have to be lucky to do that! Don
