I would love to know the actual number of lost endorsements.....it will
take a good year to figure it out, but it would be interesting to know.
I don't expect to keep Nike in the loop after this year unless we get a
"big name" coach.  I hope we get a lot of money for that banner on
UCBearcats.com - like 10 million.

I have it on good authority from someone inside the athletic department
that shortly before the press conference last week Goin was told his
tenure was over.  I tend to believe that based on his statement, his
body language, not being at AK's announcement and the quick departure
(Jan 1).  I've taken him to task on here and now I feel really bad for
doing so.  I jumped the gun and assumed some things that just weren't
true.  I should know better and if I see him I will thank him for his
service to UC.  If true I am deeply disgusted with Z.  I have never felt
it was good to fire people who disagree with you.  To make good
decisions you need people who aren't afraid to speak up and say "the
emperor has no clothes on"

 

This same person has told me they have taken a large hit in canceled
sponsorships, season ticket refunds and UCAT refunds.
