UCATS Cruise

I attended the UCATS boat ride last night.  Only one person had an "I
Support Huggins" shirt.  I thanked him for wearing it.

 

Mark Dantonio was on the boat and actually made a point to shake hands
with everyone as they de-boarded.  That certainly made the absence of
Coach Huggins more disturbing to me.

 

Bob Goin had some welcoming remarks and acknowledged that the program is
"under a cloud" at this time, or something to that effect.  I
interpreted his comment to refer to the Huggins situation.  He proceeded
to encourage people to support the University.  I interpreted that to
mean that we should not worry about individual people (i.e. Huggins),
instead we should blindly follow the bigger cause of the institution.
Anyone could interpret it differently, but I was somewhat offended by
it.  We are a community of individual people.   Huggins loyalty to the
university over the past 15 years and his role in helping us get to the
Big East cannot be forgotten.

 

I support Bob Huggins.
