It is not the race thing that upsets me about Phil's comments. Someone
in his position should look at the facts before making such comments.
It irritates me that "education" seems to be put on some moral
highground by Nancy, Phil and their backers. Like someone who has a
degree is better off than those with out one. Phil is somehow better
than UC basketball players because his brother has an engineering
degree. Please. This eliteist(sp) attitude has really put me off. I
also have to wonder about Phil's motives. I don't see morality behind
this. Nancy and the Trustee's are trying to run a business. Are they
really concerned with how the students are doing, or do they want a
better image of the school so that tuition can be raised? I don't
really know much about that side of things, but this whole situation
is a mess with no explanation. Does anyone know who owns the EnQ? Do
they have any connections with the Board? Could explain the silence....
I think we should pitch a Bob Huggins tv movie to ESPN......titles
anyone? Who would play Huggs and who would play Invader Zimfer?

I think it's ridiculous that she wouldn't be at these events.
If she feels her decision is so bad that she can't show her self
in public
than admit you made a bad decision, if her decision is so
righteous, than
she should not be afraid to show her face in public.
This running from the public and not talking to them is so far off
from good
PR it's a joke. What kind of administrator can't handle the heat.
Ms
Zimpher needs to back her decisions with some facts, and stand
behind them,
not make half informed decisions and try to blame the BBAll team
for all of
UC academics...then run from explaining her decisions.
Truly, if she can't show her face at the join the Big east party
how can she
call herself a backer of UC athletics... It's actually easy I
guess... She's
NOT a backer of UC athletics.
And that Paul Daugherty article on Phil Cox... I don't care that
someonetried to order a rob roy from him that doesn't make him
saying that all our
black athletes carry a gun is ok, that doesn't make it ok for him
to say we
don't graduate black athletes... It's wrong, he should resign.

It would be a smart move on her part. And that is exactly why she
will be.

Perhaps, but I found it interesting that the announcement didnot
mention her, the Enquirer story this morning did not mentionher, and
all the quotes were from Goin. I bet she stands back on thisone. It
would be her first smart move in this area in a few months.it

I doubt we will see Nancy. If you look at the announcement
specifically does not mention her. It would be in the bestto

only imagine what others would do.

With the Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese there you would
think the UC president would be there. If not this time there
be another. They can't duck each other in public forever. Don
