I'm wondering... would he have gone up against Whaley this past season (Walsh College)? Hmm... have to check out that matchup, if it did happen.

They produced Ben Wallace, so there must be some talent/coaching up there. I dont' believe in hyping/downplaying a kid due to stats, level of competition, or what part of the country he's from. Until you see them play with your own eyes you can't really judge them. But I'll take a 6'11" kid that can run the floor, handle the ball, rebound, and score.

As much as everyone kept saying "I want a kid bigger then 6'7" it's amazing to me how they turn it around as soon as UC lands one. Obviously the staff likes his game and since he plays in the same league as Cincinnat State (2 former UC players on their coaching staff) they have some decent first hand knowledge of his game and what he's capable of.

1 is division II, the other is California.
The competition level doesnt always compare to regular juco ball.

As the Shamaine Dukes discussion is now starting to prove, what level
you play at doesn't always dictate the talent or ability of a certain
recruit. Harris is from Cleveland and I can't think of too many NJCAA
Div1 JUCO's in the Cleveland area. Chances are he wanted to stay close
to home to play his JUCO ball or it was just more convenient for him.
