Dunking is very exciting. A million people have said the same thing you just did..does it count for more than 2 points?? Not at the exact moment that it happens, no. But a lot of times it can start a run, get the guys jacked up so theyll play harder on defense, get the crowd into it, take the crowd out of it on the road... and as far as 3-pters..thats all anyone ever does is shoot 3's..im fed up with THAT. Take it to the rack strong and try to dunk it so maybe a foul gets called or you actually dunk it. Unless youre wide open for a 3, its a very lazy thing. So many guys shoot 3's who have no business shooting them and never would if there wasnt a line there. Plus all those long brick rebounds start fast breaks. I love dunks and dunking and anything that has to do with dunking.

What is this hang up with dunks? I dunked back in the 60's (as a skinny white boy). Has it changed so much that we have to worship someone that has the ability to elevate to an un-godly level and throw it down? I am completely fed up with this line of communication.

Even though he's been here for 2.5 years now, I still can't believe WE have James White. I know he hasn't put up big numbers or taken us anywhere in the tourney, but he is arguably one of the best athletes in the history of college basketball. And also, as I think I may have mentioned before, he can dunk from the foul line between his legs! Do you have any idea how many NBA players and fans would sh*t their pants if they saw him do that in the dunk contest? And WE have him. Amazing. We also have Eric Hicks too which is incredible- what 6'6" guy sets the all-time high school shotblock record in a good basketball state like North Carolina? And you know he's probably really only 6'5". I remember a few years back in the Deveroe's league in warm-ups, he did a 360 and shined his shoes with the ball before he dunked it! Then in the game, he did a big 2-hander on like 3 guys (including Whaley), and we couldn't believe the glass was unshattered it was so hard.
Yeah I know that post didn't accomplish anything but I just love those 2 guys, I can't believe we only have one more year of them.

Kinda surprised Hicks didnt. It helps the player in the long run.
