Amanda,

Not exactly sure what your project scope is, but you could do a study on
business accessibility and its relationship to sales.  Your premise for the
study is to see how much UC's construction could affect a business versus
the same business without restrictions on your customers (fans) to get to
your venue.  So in the one business the accessibility to the venue is easy
and unrestricted, while the other one would involve a walk of 4 times
greater distance and restricted parking locations.

It would be interesting to see what customers would be willing to put up
with to still visit your store.  Then you could tweak this by putting more
and more obstacles in their way: make their trip twice as long, three times
as long, four times as long.  You could also progressively cut off their
routes to your venue.  After each change note how the customers react to the
changes.

This would have its parallel to what UC does to its fans, and you could come
up with some ideas about how these changes affect their overall attendances
(sales) and how it affects the perception of UC in the eyes of its customers
(fans).  Sorry to imprint my biases on your project, but it could be a fun
thing to try and implement using other students as guinea pigs to try out
your ideas.  Marketing is all about the perception of your business in the
eyes of your customer and very little else, so everything that you do should
keep this in mind.

  as many of you know im a senior at Anderson.  For my senior marketing
project we have to create our own business...using every aspect of
marketing, promotion, financing, ect.   since we can choose anything we are
interested in....i am going to create a bearcat store/viewing area for the
games and/or restraunt.  It may include all three of those or just one or
two.  i was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas for me about my
plan.  I think its a good concept but was wondering if anyone had any good
specific details....thanks for the help!
