In the mean time the programs future looks unstable going into and up against the Big East. This year the Bearcats won 25 games, were ranked in the top 25, played well in the NCAA and since last June Huggs has been a Boy Scout. The kids grades are good and they are graduating. What is there in that equation not to like and extend. the LeGree problem should not interfere with keeping the athletic dept and basketball program (is there truly a difference) moving up and foreward. No one is saying Dr.Z is an evil step sister. I'm sorry about the house that was dropped on her sister. :-)

I'm not necessarily so quick to make Zimpher out to be the evil stepsister. Afterall, even if she is not prepared to renew Huggins' contract YET, that doesn't preclude her from changing her mind in the future. Yes, Huggins may have another offer in the interim, but will it be as good as his situation in Cincy? As president of the university, Zimpher has a different set up priorities. We're not even one year past Huggins' DUI...for all we know, the University is looking for Huggins to stay "clean" for at least a year.
