Jason was his usual reserved self during the dunk competition last night
and it worked against him. It was nice that he was able to appear on the
national stage one more time and show his classy image in a Bearcat
uniform. It was not a forum for him. He is not the high flier that some
of the guys were and he didn't get to show his power which would have
played well if he could have figured out how to fit it in. The
Lithuanian guy who won was very good as he was able to flash the ball
around during his dunks. I would work well for White who is made for
this kind of contest. Max would work better if you could add in a relief
pitcher of sorts and allow the guys to have the ball tossed in for a
dunk. That would add more flash in my opinion and make this more
watch-able. Great to see Jason one more time.
UK's Chuck Hayes did not show his personality off well as he pouted his
way through 2 lame dunk attempts in the 1st round and was basically out
of the competition. He tried his best to look uninterested. It was a
unique picture to see him with his arm around Max, laughing after his
failed 1st round.
