I think Saturday's game is a prime example of why Bright needs to play the "3". He is skilled enough offensively and to stick him at the "4" would limit his productivety. The only thing he needs to work on offensively is his ball-handling. He continues to remind me of Mickeal + the jump shot and - the ball-handling and defense. My guess is that he improves both of the -'s and becomes a better player than Mickeal, maybe as soon as next year. (Provided he plays his natural "3" spot)

I've been saying all season that I expect Roy Bright to have a significant impact on this team's success. So far, I haven't seen the level of play I expected on a regular basis, although there have been tantalizing flashes of his talent. His shooting is better - take out his 3-pt attempts and his % looks better, although he still needs to improve. His rebounding is 2nd only to Hicks (based on number of rebounds per minutes played). I'm hoping he can have a breakout game, maybe against Tulane, and build from there - he will be necessary in the tourney, especially with no Chad Moore to fill any minutes at guard, meaning White or Kirkland will need to play more there to spell Williams.
Bright needs to improve his D as well, but I still think he will make a difference in one of the conference tourney games - for good or ill remains to be seen.
